Overall Condition: This frame retains about 60% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows a high concentration of patches of moderate oxidation. The heaviest concentrations of oxidation are located on the top and left side. There are some small spots of surface erosion, most noticeable on the left side a the front. There are some patches of finish loss. Scuffs, rubs, and impact marks are present. The markings are visible. Overall, this receiver rates in about Good condition.
Mechanics: We have no reason to believe that this would not function properly after proper assembly. We did not fire this receiver. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: None
Our Assessment: This started life as a Boito over under shotgun made in Brazil. These were affordable shotguns sold by Kmart in the 1970s and 1980s and were utilitarian shooters. The receiver has since been stripped down to what you see. It is in about Good condition but with a little cleaning could make a good host for parts from a gun with a broken receiver or a practice piece for refinishing before working on a more expensive piece. This will be a fun build and will be a good gun for the field upon completion. Please see our photos and good luck!
CA Legal or CA Private Party Transferable: This receiver can be transferred/sold in California.
